Marine & Stellar STEAM Camp

Ocean Park's new Marine & Stellar STEAM Camp invites children aged 9-11 on a 3-days-2-nights​ journey to explore the mysteries of the ocean and the universe. Participants will observe marine life at night and immerse themselves in the underwater world. During the program, they will travel to Southern Hong Kong to visit sea caves and typhoon shelters, and appreciate the blend of nature and culture.​

They will also visit Lamma Fisherfolk’s Village​ to study local marine life and conduct scientific experiments. Exploring the Ma Wan Solar Tower will further expand their astronomical knowledge, allowing them to unlock the secrets of the universe through the StarLab Planetarium experience and telescope operation.

On the final day, children will create illustrated souvenirs of their adventure under the guidance of a renowned local illustrator. This program seamlessly blends the wonders of the ocean, astronomy, and art, enabling kids to learn and grow through hands-on exploration of the natural world. Let young explorers connect intimately with the beauty and complexity of our natural environment!

    Capacity: 20 per class (The programme will be cancelled if there are less than 10 participants)
    Gathering and Dismissal Location: Gathering location: Next to guest locker of Ocean Park's Waterfront Car Park (Turn left after going down the escalator outside Ocean Park MTR Station Exit B)
    Dismissal location: Nature Guardians Outpost, next to Ocean Express station, Waterfront
    Ratio of instructors to participants: At least 1 to 5
    Language: Cantonese, supplemented with simple English
    Remarks:
    • Programmes are subject to change and/or cancellation due to animals' conditions and venue without prior notice.
    • Participants will explore and learn accompanied by our educators. Parents can pick up the participants at dismissal time.
    • Participants can stay behind after the programme, early admission before the programme is not available.
    • Programme includes outdoor activities. All participants are recommended to wear casual out-fit and bring daily necessities (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shower items and towel), change of clothes, and bottle of water, hat/cap, sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent and umbrella. Participants may also bring along a pillow and warm clothes if necessary.
    • The Park provides shower facilities for participants, however hair dryers are not included. Sleeping bags will be provided by the Park. No power supply will be provided. Participants could bring their own necessities if required.
    • If there is a need to apply for sick leave, please inform us in advance. Relevant substantiation documents have to be provided. An administration fee of HK$200 and any payment in excess of the amount of initial payment will be charged to each course change, sick leave (except providing medical certificate with the designated programme date of the participant) or refund request.

    * The Programme Fee includes the participant stay-behind surcharge of the last day of the programme and one complimentary daytime adult admission ticket on the last day of the programme.

    Notes

    • Enrolment deadline: 7 days before the commencement of each class.
    • The selected programme date, time, meal's selection, participant’s name and phone number cannot be changed or rescheduled. ​​All payments made are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please make sure the programme dates fit in the participant's schedule before enrolment.
