Ocean Park and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) co-hosted a joyous celebratory event and fun day on 6 October to honour the Hong Kong, China Delegation's remarkable achievements at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
"We are thrilled to invite the Hong Kong, China Delegation to Ocean Park to meet the public again. In addition to congratulating the delegation for their accomplishment of bringing home two gold and two bronze medals, we would also like to take this opportunity to encourage more young athletes to stay determined and work hard to chase their dreams. Recently, the number of giant pandas at Ocean Park has soared from two to six. Just as we hope to see the pandas thrive, we sincerely wish our Hong Kong athletes ongoing success in future competitions, earning even more medals!" said Mr Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation.
"Team Hong Kong, China won two golds and two bronzes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, achieving the best Olympic results in Hong Kong's history. The success was not easy to attain, and we thank the Government for its support and the participation of all sectors of society! With competitions coming one after another, our athletes are continuing to train hard for the next event. We look forward to the public's unwavering support for Team Hong Kong," said Mr Timothy Fok, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.
A fun-filled, interactive game session brought together athletes and the public, including the members of SF&OC’s Olympic Fan Club, for a memorable exchange. The fans were thrilled to meet their Olympic heroes. Laughter and high-fives filled the Park with applause, creating an energetic and inspiring atmosphere.
A group of young athletes was invited to join the event and participated in the festivities. Ocean Park hopes to inspire these future stars to pursue their passions in sports and realise their full potential as part of Hong Kong's athletic community.
Ocean Park celebrated the achievements of the 35 athletes participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics with a dazzling Hong Kong-themed multimedia show at Aqua City Lagoon, showcasing the city’s Olympic victories and emotional highlights. The excitement continued as the delegation explored the latest Halloween haunted houses, enjoying chilling thrills and a unique break from their training.
Ocean Park once again extends its warmest congratulations to the Hong Kong, China Delegation for their incredible achievements and wishes the delegation continued success in upcoming competitions.
