Be prepared for the most spine-chilling thrills as Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024 beckons all daredevils to delve into the darkest urban legends of the 1980s at the heart-pounding Horrors of the Hidden City! Running until 3 November 2024, this year's event features six brand-new haunted experiences and ten specially curated performances. Beware! Once you step inside, there's no guarantee of escape from the terror that awaits.
Dive into the six scariest haunted experiences at the Hidden City
The chilling Hidden City and all the six haunted experiences will open their doors to brave visitors starting on 11 October for 13 selected days, with three located at The Waterfront and three at The Summit of the Park.
Embark on your journey at the lawless zone Presented by AEON Card: Dreadful Walled City at The Waterfront. Step into the eerie alleys shrouded in shadows, passing by various life scenarios like tin shacks, food hawkers and gambling dens, immersing yourself in the nostalgia and allure of the 80s. Beware of the underlying danger throughout the journey—what horrors might lurk within!
Adjacent to the Walled City lies Prison Escape. A mysterious experiment has gone awry at this notorious high-security penitentiary, as a group of prisoners clandestinely plot their escape to evade disaster. If you are caught, you must first take a prisoner number tag and have your mugshot taken, but once inside, there's no guarantee you'll make it out.
A wealthy landowner hosts a grand wedding for his children at Netherworld Wedding presented by Asahi Super Dry, inviting friends to join the celebration. Upon arrival, groomsmen and bridesmaids are split up; bridesmaids undergo stunning traditional bridal room while the groomsmen join a singles' party. Yet, beware! All these experiences conceal dark motives, and the fate of those inside hangs precariously in the balance.
For the daring souls, venture to The Summit for more challenges. The classic hotel, Powered by Klook: Hotel Morte, is set to reopen with a grand masquerade ball. As everyone grabs their hotel key cards to find their own rooms while a group of mysterious figures dressed as clowns has orchestrated a deadly scheme. Stay alert and stay alive from the danger that lurks around each corner.
Prepare to experience the terrifying Japanese-style Horror of Homestead. Start with a cleansing ritual and hold your white candle tightly as you enter this haunted house. The rooms are adorned with the remnants of ritualistic sacrifices. Brace yourself, as you never know what horrors await you.
Finally, explore the abandoned factory, Forbidden Zone 724, formerly a meat processing facility where the owner's family vanished in an industrial tragedy. Armed with headlights and walk through the disinfection chamber one by one to discover the mysteries within, but make sure you stay vigilant for the “guests” brandishing chainsaws who could emerge at any instant.
Spooktacular spectacular
During your horrifying journey, come enjoy a line-up of ten incredible and eerie performances that promise to captivate and chill visitors. The debut of the wildly popular Korean vampire troupe in Too Hot to K-Oppa features an electrifying dance performance. The dancers are set to take the stage by storm and ensure an unforgettable experience for all.
Meanwhile, the Black Queen returns at Good Night The Dark Queen, accompanied by her scheming butlers in a devilish dance, inviting visitors to pay tribute and witness her mesmerising performance.
From the Spirits of Chinese Opera to the technically impressive Chinese Juggling Spectacular featuring hidden masters from the Dreadful Walled City, visitors are in for a treat of exceptional talent and skill.
As darkness descends, the Paper Doll Reviving Night brings eerie paper effigies to life in the Hellbound Troupe, while the Master Fights Zombies Chapter 2024 introduces a Taoist master and disciple battling the undead in a tale of love and fate. The haunting 2024 Ghost Bride Walk offers a chilling spectacle as the ghost bride parades in a crimson gown, escorted by demons and spirits through a hellish wedding ceremony at 8:24pm.
In a clash of supernatural forces, the Blood Curse Dance pits a powerful vampire hunter against a seductive vampire in a deadly battle under a shadowy curse. Meanwhile, the Zombie Dancing Street beckons adventurers into a mummy zombie maze for a chaotic dance with buried undead. The chilling Flashy Flaunters add an unsettling touch with shrine maidens moving to a heart-shaking beat, drawing audiences into a realm of terrifying emptiness.
Spooky experience for kids and adult alike
Parents and children can engage and win giveaway coupons in interactive games at Everyone Trick-or-Treat presented by ecHome Appliances, and embark on a quest to locate all the pumpkin monsters scattered around the Park. Make sure not to miss the Candy Pinata Party, where you can gather candies from mischievous devils!
Additionally, at Ocean Park Star Match, Whiskers and Friends have transformed into their favourite Halloween costumes, ready to dance and juggle amidst a whirl of joy, inviting visitors to capture adorable moments with them.
Make sure not to overlook other check-in spots, such as capturing photos with the Walled City Opera Theatre and the striking giant red Chinese plaques. The Summit itself has succumbed to dark forces. As the enigmatic mist drifts through Spooktacular Lane, mesmerising light and shadow effects come alive, enveloping visitors in an eerie fantasy realm, ideal for capturing memorable photos. Beware of the Blazing Creepy Slider as they wander about, ready to photobomb you at any moment!
