오션파크로 떠나는 즐거운 여행에 필요한 모든 것
To tie in with the Park’s on-going 40th anniversary celebrations, Ocean Park Summer Splash returns from 1 July to 27 August 2017 with a retro theme and exciting line-up of summer happenings to beat the scorching heat. The Park will be welcoming the hot season with summer-inspired fare for guests to complement their fun day at the Park. From a four-course Midsummer Breeze Menu featuring in-season summer fruit and greens at Neptune’s Restaurant and Tuxedos Restaurant, to refreshing summer treats created in exclusive collaboration with the classic local label LT Duck and thirst-quenching grab-and-go snacks at selected food kiosks, the food at this year’s Summer Splash will promise mouthfuls of guilt-free indulgence to cool the palate. Foodies looking for more can also savour hearty grills on the banks of the beautiful lagoon at the Lakeside BBQ Fest, or feast on the sumptuous Summer Fiesta Semi-Buffet Dinner which features an array of sustainable seafood at Neptune’s Restaurant.
Available at Neptune’s Restaurant and Tuxedos Restaurant, the Midsummer Breeze Menu offers appetising delights livened up with a tempting range of fruit and vegetables. The refreshing journey for the taste buds begins with Shrimp with Avocado and Mango Salad in Passion Fruit Dressing, topped with a slice of fresh sweet fig to enhance freshness. This is followed by Cream of Sweet Corn Soup with Crab Meat which features the sweet and meaty Alaskan King Crab*. For the main course, guests can choose from one of three tantalising options – Baby Back Ribs with Peach and Fried Sweet Potato, Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass in Grapefruit Butter Sauce or Penne with Seared Jumbo Scallop in Truffle Pumpkin Cream Sauce. To top it all off, the Panda Häagen-Dazs™ Strawberry Ice Cream with Butter Cookies is definitely a foodie-worthy treat as it is made with a generous scoop of strawberry ice cream on a cookie-crumbs-made beach and has a yummy panda face on it.
Collaborating exclusively with Hong Kong’s home-grown label, LT Duck, Ocean Park will present an array of sweet and savoury summer snacks that feature Hong Kong’s much-loved yellow ducks. Guests will be delighted to find adorable desserts at Aqua City Bakery, including LT Duck Mango Pudding, LT Duck Lemon Macaron Cupcake and jumbo-sized LT Duck Trio Lemon Macaron Filled with Fresh Fruit. Also available is the generous 35-ounce LT Duck Soda Bucket that comes in five fruity flavours, contained in a bucket with a LT Duck logo, making it a great summer icy drink for sharing. LT Duck Snack Boxes, such as Pineapple and Pork Sausage Patties Burger with Criss Cut Fries or Signature Hot Dog with Meat Sauce and Nachos, are deliciously filling options for guests to boost their energy as they explore the fun-filled attractions at the Park.
To ward off the summer heat, a range of grab-and-go light treats will be offered at selected food kiosks, including Iced Mango Skewer, Iced Pineapple Skewer, and Japanese Cold Soba (with Cucumber, Ham, Chicken and Carrot). In addition to chilled options, anyone who believes that barbecue is synonymous with summer will be thrilled to try out the sizzling hearty grills, skewers and snacks at different pavilions by the lakeside, such as Roasted Pork Knuckle, Nathan’s Famous New York Style Hot Dog, Diced Wagyu Beef, Roasted Spring Chicken and Okra Skewer. Those looking for an indoor place to cool off should not miss the delectable Summer Fiesta Semi-Buffet Dinner at Neptune’s Restaurant, where they can savour a range of treats using sustainable seafood, in the company of friends and family alongside the magnificent view of Grand Aquarium’s main tank as the backdrop.
