오션파크로 떠나는 즐거운 여행에 필요한 모든 것
To promote street dance culture and show support for local dancers, Ocean Park will host “Summer Dance Jam”, a street dance competition, during this year’s “Summer Carnimal”. Every Saturday night at 8:45 pm from July 28 to September 1, Ocean Park invites talents who have undergone street dance training to showcase their dancing skills in the Park; while visitors can enjoy free entry to the Park from 8:30pm onwards on competition days to cheer for the dancers, participate in mini-games to win stunning prizes and enjoy an exciting summer.
Matthias Li, Chief Executive of Ocean Park, said: “Ocean Park will host its first-ever street dance competition ‘Summer Dance Jam’ this year to promote local street dance culture, and provide a platform for local dancers to closely interact with the public. The competition also adds vibrant local elements to our ‘Summer Carnimal’, while allowing people to get to know and appreciate the excitement of street dancing”.
Running for six consecutive Saturday nights from July 28 to September 1, Ocean Park will host the “Summer Dance Jam” competition next to the Aqua City Lagoon at Lakeside Chill, starting from 8:45 pm. Each participant will receive a complimentary Ocean Park daytime general admission ticket with a summer drink after their performance. The competition features “individual battle” and “choreography” competition categories, and two rounds of competitions will be held for each category over the course of four weeks. The winners of these four preliminary rounds will be able to participate in the final on September 1, as well as receive a cash prize of HK$5,000; while the champions of the final will be awarded a cash prize of HK$8,000.
Additionally, Ocean Park has arranged a special street dance competition for international and local professional dancers from “Summer Carnimal” to showcase their dazzling dancing skills and share their experiences with each other.
